The Transboundary Freshwater Dispute Database (TFDD)
This website is used to aid in the assessment of the process of water conflict prevention and resolution. Over the years we have developed this Transboundary Freshwater Dispute Database, a project of the Oregon State University College of Earth, Ocean, and Atmospheric Sciences, in collaboration with the Northwest Alliance for Computational Science and Engineering. There are five main portals featured on our website and the descriptions are included below.

Data contains both global and regional information. The Data page consists of searchable tabular and spatial datasets, Treaty library, donated Middle East and Afghanistan document library, water conflict and cooperation bibliography, large OSU generated datasets, GIS shapefiles, available for download. Additional data may be available upon request.

Research and Projects includes completed and ongoing projects. The Research and Projects page features links to projects either conducted at or collaborated with Oregon State University professors and students. This page also features the UNEP Environmental Atlas.

Publications includes papers and books related to water conflict and/or cooperation. The Publications page has links to papers for download or reference.

Images and Maps features products on regional and global features for download. The products available on the Images and Maps page were created by current and former students and professors, as well as collaborating partners.

Links is a list of related water conflict and cooperation websites. The Links page can be used to connect to websites featuring water related issues. If you are interested to have your website included in Lists, please contact the TFDD webmaster.
